Here inside the park we stock the stream nightly with rainbow trout raised locally in our hatchery. The number of fish stocked changes from night to night depending on the number of people fishing the previous day.
My dad took me to opening day 1964 and ever since then I have been in love with this park. I learned to fly fish there. Thanks to the many people that over the years that have shared their time on the stream. Some have become life long friends and I cherish them as well as I do the many trout that have fallen for my flies and the ones that refused them. I have over the past several years been able to travel and fish other places in the U.S., New Zealand, and west Australia. Still my favorite waters are in the Ozarks with Bennett at the top of the list. I look forward to starting my fifth decade of fishing at Bennett Spring.
